Each product in the PearlGlaze™ range is being extensively used for fashionable float, textured and plain glass panels and tiles. 1040, 1042, 1044 and 1046 can all be used for kitchen splashbacks, toughened countertops, glass furniture, feature walls and countless other interior commercial applications where a coloured or translucent glass surface is appropriate.
Preparation:
Before spraying, clean glass thoroughly and air dry surface before using 920S Ad Pro Solvent. Do not use methylated spirits (or any other solvent) as a substitute to 920S Adpro, as this will affect the adhesion performance of 1040 to the glass substrate. Wash glass thoroughly with 920S Adpro, maintaining a wet film on the surface of the glass for at least 10 to 15 minutes. (This can be done by spray bottle or Adpro saturated clean rag and working the film with the wet rag. After the elapse of 10 to 15 minutes, clean surface with a dry clean lint free cloth, making sure all solvent is removed and there are no streaks or smudges.
If you require more cleaning techniques contact the EVIC Technical department.
Application for Use:
Step 1: MetalGlaze - carefully apply MetalGlaze (thinned with 920S Adpro solvent) in 2-3 double header cross coats, allowing flash off time between the coats and changing direction for each pass. MetalGlaze offers higher coverage than SolidPearl, however certain colours may require a backing coat to achieve true opacity. A consistent and even application technique is to be employed to consistently achieve a reliable result.
Once mixed, the SolidPearl mixture should be maintained by swirling a marble in the suction pot, or continually using mild agitation. Allow to dry, or bake according to the Data Sheet (see BAKING).
